p-pardus asked: Hey. I recently went vegan, and I hoped you could give some tips....?

That is amazing to hear! You are a wonderful person :) Here are some of my tips, I hope they can help you even a little bit!

-try shopping at your local organic food store for animal product alternatives such as tofu

-if your city has a farmers market, look there for fresh fruits and veggies

-don’t let anyone bash your beliefs, stand up for what you are doing and what you believe in

-research facts about the meat industry so that if anyone tries to convince you that being Vegan is ‘wrong’, you can back yourself up with factual information

-make sure to eat a wide variety of foods so that you’re getting enough nutrients and vitamins, like lots of leafy greens such as kale and spinach

-if you take vitamins, make sure to look at the ingredient list to see if they use any animal products such as gelatin

-check out other products around your home (such as make up, soaps, etc) to make sure they’re Vegan friendly

-remember that you are helping to save animal lives by becoming Vegan

Lots of luck and blessings to you!

I do NOT do drugs of ANY kind. I follow the word of GOD and He does not agree with drug use.

youregold asked: why should i go vegan? curious!

Going Vegan is a great way to become healthier! Its also a way of living compassionately! By not eating animal products you’re letting animals live the lives that God created them for, even small creatures like bees suffer when we steal their honey. I believe in living in a way that respects all of God’s creatures because that is what He intended: thou shall not kill! I choose to live by His word and this is one of the most important.

Also Vegan options are super yummy and its way better for your health! Eating meat has been shown to raise blood pressure, contribute to obesity and other health problems.

There are lots of resources out there for anyone interested in learning about a Vegan lifestyle!

I hope this helps! God bless :)

Because this is tumblr, I get to elaborate on this experience.  In the morning I went to safeway to pickup some breakfast since it was a little early before the bus came.  I decided to get cash back after spending only like 2 dollars on my card just cus i thought i would need the money for whatever.  Right when i get to the Bart station i helped out some people purchase their tickets.  I really wanted to talk to those people but it didn’t seem like the right time.  So i’m sitting on the train almost at my transfer and i noticed people looking at this woman with a sign and her baby.  I didn’t even think about it but I said it out loud and raised my hand “I have something for you!”  I pulled out my wallet and gave her a 5.  I asked her to sit down next to me but she was a little shy.  So i asked her if i could pray with her and she said yes. Her name is Alexandria.  She has a thick latina accent and she told me she goes train to train looking for help.  I held her hand as we prayed and it was noisy on Bart so I was kinda loud.  I felt alot of people staring at us but i didn’t even care.  I had to rush the prayer cus the next stop was my transfer.  I wanted to give her the 20 but she had already walked to the next cart and I had to catch my transfer. I wanted to talk to her and ask to take her picture cus I wanted people to know what just happened.  I sat on the Pittsburg Train sitting there praying for her some more.  It happened so fast and I wish I had done more for her. Then, all of a sudden, Alexandria comes up to me and thanks me for the prayer.  Apparently she also transferred trains.  She doesn’t speek much English but I could tell she was truly grateful.  She kept saying “thank you for praying for me, it helped a lot”.  I pulled out the rest of my money and she gestured that she didn’t want it but I gave it to her anyway.  I wanted to talk to her so bad about how God loved her, but she insisted she kept going.  The rest of the train ride home I kept thinking of how not only did the prayer help her, but people saw us praying and I hope that it sparked their interest to help her or think about God.  That one instance planted a seed in those strangers.  And I realized that this is how God works.  It’s not entirely about planning events and what not.  Revival happens when your vision is implemented spontaneously and sparks the heart of others. As I sat there meditating on this, I began to cry. I was so overwhelmed by God’s love and how He trusts me, a sinner, to carry out His mission and spread the message of the gospel.  At awe of how strong this passion within me is, how far I’ve come, and how it’s only the beginning.  How even though I already dream big about God’s Great Commission Movement happening again in this generation, His plans for it is even greater than I can imagine.  For no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the good that will come to those that love Him.  I wanted to share this across all my social networks not for the likes, but to spark something within you all.  I believe that God has given us technology so we can extend our love to others at a greater scale much more expediently.  Jesus even said that we will do even greater things than He has.  This movement isn’t coming.  It’s already here, starting within me.  I’m joining this movement that’s bigger than life itself and I challenge you all to join it, starting off where I did; From within.  I encourage you all to start looking for God because He’s right there waiting for you to seek Him.  And for those of you who already know our Father, to take a leap of faith, drop everything, and truly learn what it means to live life as a Christian.  If this story stirred something in your heart, please don’t let it just sit there.  I’m praying that it will plant a seed in you, and if you have questions or prayer requests or anything at all, don’t hesitate to message me.  Just know that I love you all and God loves you even more.
